Bushland Flora nursery is committed to growing quality Australian Native and local plants indigenous to Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley, Basalt Plains and Sand Belt areas.

Bushland Flora is a leading supplier of Australian plants and was established in 1989 at a site based in Melbourne’s Yarra Valley. Ian Shimmen Director/Manager has expanded the business and there are now two sites supplying tubes and pots to many parts of Australia. Bushland Flora is a member of the NGIV.

At Bushland Flora we are committed to growing Australian native plants with consideration for the environment. We have in place recycled watering systems. In growing Australian native plants we are responsible for keeping the environment clean by using natural water purification systems.

Potted plants presently in production include a large range of 14cm and 20cm Acacia, Adenanthos, Alyogyne, Anigozanthos, Banksia, Boronia, Callistemon, Chrysocephalum, Correa, Crowea, Dampiera, Eremophila, Eucalyptus, Grasses (extensive range of Dianella, Lomandra, Orthrosanthus, Patersonia) Grevillea, Hardenbergia (4 varieties), Hibbertia, Hymenosporum "Gold Nugget" Isopogen, Lechenaultia, Leptospermum, Leucophyta, Melaleuca, Myoporum, Olearia, Pandorea, Phebalium, Philotheca, Scaevola, Scleranthus, Syzigium, Thryptomene, Viola, Westringia, Ziera.

Our extensive range of ornamental grasses/tufting varieties includes Dianella brevicaulis, Dianella caerulea ssp assera, Dianella caerulea ssp protensa, Dianella longifolia fine leaf, Dianella longifolia Blue Sword, Dianella revoluta, Lomandra confertifolia Little Con and Little Pal, Lomandra longifolia fine leaf, Lomandra Seascape, Orthrosanthus multiflorus, Patersonia occidentalis blue and white forms, Poas and many more.

Tubestock available includes plants indigenous to Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley, basalt plains and sand belt areas.
