Adenanthos pungens prostrate 'Coral Carpet'

A prostrate form of Adenanthos from the Sterling Ranges. It forms a thick carpet of mid green needle-like foliage and pale pink to bright pink flowers on the tips of the branches.

POSITION: Prefers full sun to part shade and is suited to most soils that are well drained.

CARE: Once established Adenanthos Coral Cover requires little maintenance. Occasional feeding with slow release low phosphorous fertiliser is beneficial. It also benefits from tip pruning which will keep it dense in its habit. Mulching around the base will help to conserve moisture.

USES: Adenanthos Coral Cover forms a thick mat that is useful as a rockery plant or for retaining walls. It can also be grown as a tub specimen.
