Dianella longifolia fine leaf - Summer Haze A clump of forming plant with arching strap like foliage that is finer that the regular longifolia. It has a profusion of blue, nodding, star shaped flowers followed by glossy blue berries in summer. POSITION: Grows in full sun and part shaded areas, in most well drained soil types - including coastal. CARE: A hardy low maintenance plant that only requires spent flower heads removed. Will benefit from an occasional feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertilizer. Mulching around the base will help conserve moisture. USES: Best planted in drifts or clumps. Provides an effective tall border for paths or drive- way situations. Suitable Australian plant alternative to Agapanthus! |
