Westringia species (nana) 'Wild River' This plant is an unnamed form of Westringia from NSW. It has dark green foliage and mauve flowers throughout the year. POSITION: Grows in full sun to dappled shade and is suited to most soil types that are well drained. CARE: Once established Westringia Wild River requires very little maintenance. Occasional feeding with a slow release low phosphorus fertiliser is beneficial. It also benefits from tip pruning which will keep it dense in its habit. Mulching around it will help to conserve moisture. USES: Westringia Wild River will make a very good rockery plant or mid size general plant. It can also be grown as a low hedge or in a tub for patio use. |
