Varieties are selected for their horticultural value to withstand tough conditions from wetland species to drought tolerant plants that are low maintenance, compact and remain attractive.

Acacia cognata 'Mini Cog'

Height 75cm x Width 1.8m
A low growing and compact form of cognata. It has fresh, lime green new growth maturing to emerald green. Maintenance free other than an annual tip prune. Very sturdy it will tolerate most soil types but prefers well drained soil. Will withstand dry periods, frost and suits coastal conditions.

Olive winged foliage and reddish new growth with yellow flowers in Spring. Grows well in sand, loam and will tolerate heavy clay soils.

A prostrate low spreading groundcover Acacia. Small, fresh lime green foliage and masses of golden, fluffy flowers in Winter & Spring. A versatile plant that will withstand coastal conditions and drought. Great for hot dry spots in heavy to light soil conditions. Very decorative.

Acacia pravissima nana 'Golden Glow'

Height 1.2m x Width 1m
A small,compact form of pravissima. Ovular grey/ green foliage with a mass display of yellow flowers in early spring. Versatile plant particularly good as a low hedge. It will withstand coastal conditions and drought. Great for dry spots. Very decorative.

A prostrate form of Adenanthos from the Sterling Ranges. It forms a thick carpet of mid green needle-like foliage and pale pink to bright pink flowers on the tips of the branches.

Low Flowering Form Prostrate x Width 30cm
A good ground cover for shade or part shaded positions that forms a dense mat. Deep green tinged foliage with large mauve flower spikes reaching 20cm during summer. Tolerates dry conditions once established.
